    Morning, all.

Drinking for lunch a fine, low ABV offering from the UK (3,6%). Ideal for day drinking, as a few things are planned this afternoon. Pairing it with beef carpaccio...

Some deja bu this morning, since I'm joining the other fellow Frenchman on the early crew.
Revisiting the Weldwerks/Casey DIPA (Transmountain Diversion). 8.7% of thicc murk, brah...
It's good, not sure I'd get it again, but maybe not their best juice-bomb. Had to buy it for the name alone. Cheers, Slainte, Sante, and Prost! Day to come is full of grading, so later!

    4.02/5 rDev -6.7%
    look: 4.25 | smell: 4 | taste: 4 | feel: 4 | overall: 4

From a can dated 8.27.20, so NOT RETIRED. 8.7% this year

L - Murk, "thicc" golden lace-yellow bird special here, not much head, graceful but not abundant lacing.
S - Citric acid, a little ripe tropical fruit, definitely some hop and alpha acids on the nose, nothing stands out
T - Dense, Juicy Bits on steroids impression, a bit of the white grape/lychee/gooseberry from the Nelson hops in this. Again, thick, but a little bit of a blunt haze instrument here.
F - Good carbonation, hides the alcohol well, and good palate richness (better be at 8.7)
O - A solid but not the best "murk-bomb" from these two great producers. Bought a 4 pack for the name alone, since I study western water stuff. I don't know, however, if I'd buy it again given the price, ABV and overall taste profile.

Not the best tasting beer but these bottles make great piggy banks. I cut a slot in the cap with my Dremel tool and fill it up with change.

Have a good Thursday. Going out with an old colleague for some beer to the Griffin Claw Clubhouse in the evening. Will just be talking to my gf when she's not busy for the rest of the day. Things have been on my mind a lot lately, and don't seem to go away. Can't wait to see her on Saturday again. I think she wants me to meet her parents soon :grimacing:

Always love some Straight Jacket. I still had one in the fridge up north.

Calabaza Blanca from Jolly Pumpkin Artisan Ales. A light, dry, lemon Wit. Just what I needed on a cool, crisp Autumn day.

As I have the day off from work, I was able to walk the dog, and get a run in. Then I swung by the grocery store(and the beer store) to pick up something for dinner tonight. Home now and having a sandwich and a beer for lunch, before I tackle the leaves in the yard.
This is treehouse’s marzen, whisper. Perfect beer for the season, although it’s supposed to hit 75 around these parts today. Gotta a few hours before the wife gets home, so I better get started on those leaves or else.....cheers BA!

I have never been a fan of the gimmicky bullpen management tactic used by various MLB managers over the last few years to start a middle-reliever or closer for the first few innings then let the starter take over from there. The idea is to kick off the early innings with a shut-down performance, then hand over the game warm to a starter who can run with it from there. Man did it ever backfire on the Braves last night, giving up a touchdown and a field goal lead to the Dodgers before the Braves batters even came to the plate. I knew better than to state my optimistic outlook for this NLCS the way I did yesterday in the WBAYDN thread and jinx things
